orange scented millionaires shortbread by nyt cooking

These were one of my favorite things to make this winter. I found the orange to add a freshness that made them addicting. Watch out.

things to note

  • The base recipe is for Millionaires Shortbread. I added the zest of one orange, and 1 teaspoon of orange extract to the shortbread.

  • The base recipe did not include a white chocolate feathering. I highly recommend it. It was my first go. It isn’t difficult, and really ups the wow factor. Video of feathering.

Would I make it again?

Um, yes! I would love to try the it with lemons, limes, or even grapefruit! OH. I want to see how far citrus can help to push this.
