fall dog treats

What to do with your pumpkin or carrot scraps? Freeze them for your pup! They make a great treat!

This recipe doesn’t have quantities, because its supposed to be left overs from cooking.

Keep in mind, your dog doesn’t have a sophisticated pallet and doesn’t care that pumpkin puree and carrot don’t go together.

ingredients

  • pumpkin puree

  • carrot (chopped, shredded or spiraled)

  • whole wheat oats

steps

  1. Carrots. Put a couple pieces of carrot into each mold.

    • pro tip: If you don’t have the cute little dog bone molds, use an ice cube tray! Your dog doesn’t care what shape they are!

  2. Mix pumpkin and oats. I like to get a 2 parts pumpkin, 1 part oat. If you don’t have enough puree, it will not hold the treat together. Scoop into mold.

  3. Freeze.

Let your pup enjoy!
